Chat & community

The chat sits at the bottom left of the game screen. Click the chat icon to expand it. At the top you choose which messages you want to see:

• All chats – everything at a glance.
• Universe – the public chat for all players in your universe.
• Alliance – only for your alliance members. You need the matching rank right (Alliances).
• Logs – game notices, for example finished buildings, research and ships, friends coming online, friend requests, news from your alliance and ranking updates.

In front of the input field you choose where your message goes: to the universe or to the alliance. With Whisper to you write privately to a single player. Coordinates in your text automatically turn into clickable links.

Requirement: consent

Before you can chat, you have to agree under Settings → Privacy that team members may read your whisper, universe and alliance chat messages in case of suspicion (Privacy & Data Protection). Without this consent the chat stays locked. The game then offers you a button that takes you straight to the settings.

Friends and ignoring

In the community window you keep your friends list: requests show as "pending" at first and as "connected" once confirmed. When friends come online, the log tells you. Anyone who bothers you goes on the ignore list.
