Destroyer

The destroyer is the warhorse of the late game. In attack, shield and hull it beats every other ship except the imperial starbase, and it delivers a lot of firepower for its price.

Strengths and weaknesses

• + Enormous firepower – it cracks even strong defenses and deals bonus damage to the Laser cannon battery.
• + Very durable thanks to its strong shield and thick hull.
• – Slow: only a few ships are even slower, and it burns a lot of fuel per flight.
• – The Solar cannon deals bonus damage to it.

Destroyers form the hard core of big attack fleets. Because they are slow, they set the pace of the whole fleet – plan your flight time accordingly, keep upgrading your Warp engine and expect opponents to try to catch your fleet when it returns.
