Large transport ship

For many players the large transport is the standard freighter in the early and mid game. It carries 30,000 units, has a shorter setup time and a higher maximum speed than the small transport, and burns only somewhat more spice per flight.

What you need it for

• Moving resources from your colonies to wherever you are building or researching.
• Carrying home the loot from your attacks.
• Taking your resources to safety with an escape flight before you go offline.

As soon as you can build it, the Transmitter is the stronger choice: it carries many times as much, flies faster and can defend itself. Until then, the large transport is indispensable.
