Phoenix

The Phoenix has more attack than the battleship and gets going quickly thanks to its short setup time. On short trips it is the fastest of the big combat ships. On long flights the battleship overtakes it with its higher maximum speed.

Strengths and weaknesses

• + High firepower – great for attacks where timing matters.
• + Bonus damage against the Interval cannon.
• – Expensive, especially in spice, and burns more fuel than the starcruiser.
• – The Positron Lighter deals bonus damage to it.

The Phoenix is a popular core ship for quick attacks in your neighborhood. If your target has lots of Positron Lighter units, knock them out first with the Particle cannon (Particle attack) or rely on other ships.
