Bit is a little robot who simply loves playing hide and seek. In Bit Hide & Seek you hide your own Bits all over the universe and track down the Bits of other players. The event runs at certain times. The Bit hunt page shows when it starts and ends.
Hiding Bits
You can hide up to five Bits per day. Click on a free tile and enter target coordinates (galaxy:system:planet) – any planet in the universe is allowed, except the one your Bit starts from. The flight costs neither ships nor resources. Only one of your Bits may hide on each planet. As long as a Bit is still on its way, you can call it back and hide it somewhere else.
The clock starts ticking when your Bit arrives: the longer it stays undiscovered, the better your ranking. If it is found, you receive a message with its survival time. The "What happened?" tab tells the whole story. Found Bits are only refilled the next day.
Hunting Bits
With spy probes (Spy probe) you launch Bit recon flights. If you hit a planet with hidden Bits, all Bits there are destroyed, and you receive one treasure chest per Bit – up to your daily limit of 100 chests. Flights that find nothing do not count towards this limit.
Rankings and rewards
There are two player rankings: "still hidden" (which living Bit has currently been hiding the longest) and "best time" (the longest hiding time of all). First place in each list receives 500 treasure chests at the end – if the same player wins both titles, they get 1337.
All alliances automatically take part in the alliance seeker ranking. It counts the combined total of an alliance's three best seekers. Only members who have tracked down at least one Bit and have been in the alliance for 7 days count. An alliance enters the ranking once it has three participants, and first place receives 50 treasure chests for every member at the end.
