The balanced warp combat ship: as much shield as attack, the highest top speed of all combat ships and no spice in its building costs.
The battleship is the first ship with a warp engine. Its attack and shield are equally high, and for its price it has the strongest shield of all combat ships. On top of that, it costs no spice to build.
Strengths and weaknesses
- + No spice in the building costs – ideal when spice is scarce.
- + Strong shield, the fastest combat ship on long trips and bonus damage against the Solar cannon.
- – Long setup time and sluggish acceleration: on short trips the Phoenix and the small fighter are faster.
- – The Interval cannon deals bonus damage to battleships, and it burns much more spice per flight than the Phoenix.
Battleships are the backbone of many fleets in the mid and late game – especially for long-range attacks. They work well with the other warp ships (Stealth bomber, Destroyer).
Background
The battle ship is equipped with an efficient warp engine. The ship requires a quite long acceleration time based on its heavy armor. This makes this ship slower at short distances but it can unfold its full engine potential at long distances. This ship is not only heavily armored but also possesses a strong shield generator, which make this ship very resilient. Only Interval cannons have a slight advantage in battle but it is deadly against solar cannons.
