Aliens
In SpaceInvasion 2 you fight on two fronts: against alien planets that invade through wormholes, and every week against the black holes of the alien waves.
The aliens are a power from a distant galaxy, controlled by the game itself. In SpaceInvasion 2 you meet them in two very different ways that run independently of each other: alien planets have been around since SpaceInvasion 2 launched, while the black holes with their weekly alien waves were added later from SpaceInvasion Classic. You can play both side by side.
Alien planets: the classic enemy
Alien planets push into your galaxy through wormholes, slow down the production of every planet nearby with an interfering signal and stay until they are chased away or move on by themselves. This is real combat: you need a Jammer probe, have to break shields and destroy defenses, and you can lose ships along the way. In return you get resources, debris fields and the fragments of the much sought-after Data discs. Everything about it is in Alien planets.
Black holes: the weekly alien waves
A new attack wave starts every Friday. You put together a wave fleet and use it to attack black holes on the galaxy map. There is no battle: if your fleet brings the required attack power and the requested ships, it returns unharmed with Spice. On top of that you earn war emblems for the Emblem shop and, from red holes, mentor stars for your alliance. How it all works is explained in Black holes. The quickest way to find targets is the Alien scanner.
The two systems compared
- Getting in: Which alien planets you may attack depends on your attack zone (Points & Attack Zones). The alien waves unlock at 10,000 tactical fleet strength.
- Risk: Alien planets mean real battles, and you have to expect counterattacks. Against black holes you never lose ships, and they never strike back.
- Rewards: Alien planets give loot, debris fields and disc fragments. Black holes give Spice, war emblems and mentor stars.
- Rhythm: Alien planets come and go at any time. The alien waves follow a fixed weekly cycle with an attack limit per week.
Spacia
Not an alien, but another opponent without a human player behind it: Spacia is the farm account of the universe. Her planets are a worthwhile target at any time, and during the Spacia raid week there are war emblems at stake as well.
