Diffusion engine

+5% speed and +10% acceleration per level for ships with diffusion engines – including recyclers, starcruisers, the Phoenix and the Transmitter.

Which ships benefit?

Each level makes the Transmitter, Star cruiser, Phoenix and Recycler 5% faster and improves their acceleration by 10% (Flight model).

Requirements

You need Engine research level 6. The Diffusion engine itself unlocks the Recycler from level 4, the Star cruiser from level 5, and the Transmitter and Phoenix from level 8.

Phoenix fleets are very popular attackers. If that is how you attack, upgrade the Diffusion engine as consistently as Weapons technology, Shield technology and Defense systems.

Background

The process of diffusion enabled scientists to generate a compression level much higher than that of rocket engines. Diffusion engines are able to achieve an one hundred times greater output through photo-active cristals. This Engine is suitable for large ships to travel at high speeds. The control process for diffusion improves with each level: The higher the level, the better the diffusion engine will perform. The speed of the diffusion engine increases by 5% and the acceleration by 10% for each level.
