Mining technology

Each level increases the output of Pig iron, Kryptonite and Spice on all your planets by 2% – the most important economy research.

Effect

Mining technology increases the output of your Pig iron mine, Kryptonite mine and Spice mine by 2% per level – on all planets at once. Metal from the Blast furnace is not increased.

The bonus is based on the actual output of your mines. The bigger your mines are and the better they are supplied with energy, the more each level brings. On the Economy page you can see the share of mining technology as a separate line.

When is it worth it?

Because the bonus applies to every mine on every planet, Mining technology becomes more valuable with each new planet and each mine level. Miners should keep it on their research list at all times. Fleeters benefit too, because more Spice means more fuel and more ships.

Background

Every completed level in Mining Technology increases the efficiency of mines by 2%. This research will improve technologies involved to extract raw materials such as the extraction facilities, energy networks to mines, etc. - and therefore increases the overall production factor of mines.
