Tiny, cheap and extremely fast: the spy probe tells you what is waiting on a foreign planet.

Before you attack, you should know what you are up against. The spy probe is ready to launch almost instantly, reaches its target in no time and sends back a report on resources, energy, buildings, fleet, defense and research.

How much you see depends on your Spy technology compared to your opponent's – and on how many probes you send. More probes make up for a technology gap, but they also raise the risk of being discovered. Read more under Espionage.

Background

The spy probe is a very small unmanned drone with high resolution detectors. Due to its small size the probe will achieve high speeds and it is possible to detect resources, buildings, ships, and defense and even research levels. The probes will be easily to destroy if the spy technology of the enemy is superior. The probe is also used as cannon fodder in larger fleets to protect the bigger more valuable ships. Its structure is very sensitive to mortar fire.
