More energy on every planet: +1% per level – and a requirement for many buildings, research and defenses.

Effect

Each level of Energy technology increases the energy from Fusion plant, Thermosolar plant and Solar cells by 1% – on all planets. On the Economy page the bonus appears as a separate energy line.

Key to the tech tree

Early on, what Energy technology unlocks matters more: Weapons factory (level 1), Graviton technology (level 2), Mining technology, Shield technology and Thermosolar plant (level 4), Targeting systems (level 6) and the Microsystem accelerator (level 10) – plus many defenses from the Light graviton cannon to the Solar cannon.

Later on, each additional level pays off mainly if you have large power plants or lots of solar cells, because the bonus grows with your energy production.

Background

With continuous research in Energy Technology scientists are able to provide knowledge how to reduce losses in energy transfer and at the same time increase the energy efficiency of power production. Every level increases the enrgy production by 1%. Energy technology is also a basic field of research which is required to build certain buildings, defense systems and a basic knowledge for further research.
